Fergus Pitt

Fergus Pitt from ABC online talks about his career, working at the ABC and the evolution of Dig TV. He also talks about the ABC's podcasting options and the evolution of online communities. He questions whether media are converging or fragmenting and considers the ways in which media, and in particular public service media like the ABC, will deal with these things in the future.

More about Fergus

In late 1999 and early 2000 he worked in the very small ‘multimedia’ unit of a post-production house called Oasis Television in Soho (London, not New York).

Since 2000 he has worked mostly full time at the ABC in Sydney and Melbourne, including stints at triplej, the new media division and dig Radio. During that time he has worked as a web-developer and as a producer of online, radio and tv projects.

Biography

Fergus Pitt is digital media producer working mostly in Melbourne. Most of the projects he has worked on have explored the changes that digital production and distribution have had on the stories that we tell.
